Orson Scott Card, the author of Ender’s Game, has a great mind. If you haven’t read Enders Game before, you should read it. This book has a lot of sequels and other point of view books. But the story line is absolutely ingenious. When I first read this book in the 9th grade, I could not put the book down. It’s about a young kid name Andrew aka. Ender, who goes through many hardships. Did I mention, he’s a genius strategist?
Plot: People couldn’t have a third child in this generation. After the alien attack, you needed to conserve everything you have. Ender, known as the third (for being born third), is a boy who is genius. From a scary and threatening brother, Peter to his loving sister, Valentine, he leaves them all to join the academy. Where he learns all his skills and start on his adventure. While he’s doing that, there are plans to be uncovered by both himself and his siblings. They will be important figures to the human world.
Ender- The protagonist who faces many road blocks along his way to becoming a great person. Watch him as he grows to be the best of the best. From a very young age.
Valentine: Loving sister of Ender, loves to see Ender succeed. She does her own thing back on earth with her brother Peter. See how she is the mother figure Ender looks up to when times are rough. And watch her and Peter achieve greatness through writing and other techniques.
Peter: Enders older brother and a genius as well. Due to his killing nature, he was not suitable for the space academy. For that he envies Ender, he was the one who wanted to go there. So making changes was his goal, little by little he achieve Fame with his sister, Valentine. Watch them grow.
Ender’s Game is such a good book, I read it three times during my high school years. This can be a series if you want it to be, Books like Ender’s Shadow, Shadow of the Giant, Genocide and other books Orson Scott Card made. They are sequels and prequels for Ender’s Game, but just as good. Go take a look sometime when you’re looking for a book to read.
